  1. LCC Obs Analyzer You are creating a cross-reference file for an interface between the EMR and a laboratory. You are looking for the red blood cell count, but there are 25 different observation terms that measure red blood cells in Centricity. Which one do you use?

  2. LCC Obs Analyzer LCC’s Obs Analyzer tool queries your EMR database and provides a comprehensive, searchable list of all terms in the observations table.

  3. LCC Obs Analyzer This list also includes information such as the amount of times each term has been used in the system. So now you know which red blood cell count is most likely correct: the one that has been used the most.

  7. View and search results:

  8. Using the Obs Analyzer On the previous page we searched “rbc.” We can search results by count (number of times the term appears in the database); name; keyword; source (location in EMR); or Mlcode. The search results also give us the exact file path of the observation term.

  9. Using the Obs Analyzer Look through all results from the search “rbc.” The entry selected here has the most occurrences, so it is most likely to be used in the lab cross-reference file you are creating.
