Activities of Napra Forgó Our activities are related to labour market processes and services, such as: Labour market services for employers : • HR counselling, organization background analysis • workforce mediation, research and selection of personnel for enterprises for specific profiles • sensitizing trainings, labour market trainings Labour market services for job-seekers: • information services, counselling, assessment of competences • individual counselling, • trainings for individuals and for groups • workforce placement and monitoring Research andinnovationactivities: • in collaboration with higher education institutions and in the frame of LLP projects • in the frame of the EU project „Starting up a carrier” – we are developing an innovative experimental, not-for-profit integrated model to support the employment of young people (including the disabled young) on the open labour market.

Business activities • we have our own innovative method of rehabilitation, named Napra Forgó Workteam modell. • we use this method in our integrated rehabilitation process of disabled people and in the labour market reintegration of other disadvantaged people. Main fields of business activity • Wrapping, labelling, preparatory works • logistic ancillary activities • Horticultural jobs • Telemarketing activities – we are operating a Call Center • Document archiving, digitising and filing jobs • Surveillance works

  9. Labour market situation in the Érd district and Pest County Social Entrepreneurof the year2007 – Hungary

  10. ~ • 9% • The region of Érd is situated in the Region of Central Hungary, in Pest county • Has a favourable situation due to the proximity of Budapest and the agglomeration ring • No considerable manufacturing industry in the city, but more work and education opportunities in the surroundings • Nearly two-thirds of employeescommute to their workplace • Prosperous sectors of the region are logistics and trade, service industries and the banking and financial sector

  11. The development of unemployment rate and number of registered job seekers in Pest County The unemployment rate in Pest countyJanuary 2014 was 6,4%.

Statistical data in the region of Érd • Nr. of registered job-seekers : 2 788 pers • Nr. of registered unemployed Youth : 255 pers • Ratio of school-leavers in the total amount of job-seekers • ~ 11,7% (in the country),~ 9% (in the region of Érd) Data according to the National Employment Service (Nov. 2013)

Different aspects of the employment ofschool-leavers /youth/ • Employers • prefer to employ experienced workers , withreliableprofessonalskills • young people without any experience are always a threat for the employer, because their efficiency is less predictable then those, who have filled more jobs • less stable work force, changejobs more frequently • stillaffectingimpacts of the economic crisis: decreasing number of job vacancy, • each company tries to work with a minimum /effectivelyworking/ staff • youngpeoplecan be formedaccording to the company's needs, ensuringtheworkforcesupply, havelowerwages and less paidholiday

Situation of vocational education • delayed react of education strategies to the changes in the needs and demands of the labor market • high drop-out rate in vocational schools, few years later enhancing the unemployed people number • uncertain perspectives for the school-leavers entering the job market • vocational schools often are unable to prepare their students for the increasingly complex professional skills • lack of technical conditions for practical training in the schools • no adequate career guidance integrated into the curriculum • the young are not prepared for access to employment and are not familiar with job search methods

  21. Some of the results and conclusions of the EKS survey

  22. Level of satisfaction with the qualification and skills of the target group • Most of the companies are mediumsatisfied (40%), satisfied (15%) or very satisfied (15%) with the qualifications and skills of the target group. • - About 29% of the companies were not satisfied

The importance of the skills and the real level of skills owned by the target group - The biggest differences occure regarding skills like:practical knowledge, work ethic, quality awareness, loyalty, reliability, professional maturity. - Concerning mobility and phisical endurance, the real skills exceed the expectations of the employers.

  24. - About 60% of the interviewed companies have an inner carrier path for young, and offer them posibilities of professional improvment in the frame of the company.

  25. This result shows, that many companies consider important the implementation of young. • half of interviewed organizations have a special strategy or training practice for the target group and the other half have not.

  26. Some other conclusions of the survey - 87% of the companies think, that the education system is not flexible enough. A smaller part of (13%) of the companies, experienced good tendencies in this field. • A big majority (97%) of the companies think that the practical part of educationshould bestrengthened. Only 3% think , that is not necessary. • - Most of the companies collaborate with one or two of the actors of the labour market. Most of them have relations whith the Labour Office (37%) and training institutions (39%). • In the region of Érd and Budapest, there is lack of professionals in more professions. The most required are in the field of technicians, administration, healthcare, services, sales. There is a big lack of craftsmen and IT specialists, as well as nurses. -
