  5. State GovernmentExecutive Branch • Suggests new laws. • Governor John R. Kasich leads branch. • Meets at statehouse in Columbus.

  6. State GovernmentLegislative Branch • Makes state laws. • The secretary of the state is in charge. • Meets at Statehouse in Columbus.

  7. State GovernmentJudicial Branch • Makes sure laws are obeyed in the state. • Meets at Statehouse. • The Supreme court is in charge.

  8. Local GovernmentChesterland • Trustees and fiscal officer are in charge. They are Clay Lawrence, Judith Caputo, Mike Joyce. Fiscal Officer is Karen Austin. • They meet at The Chesterland Chamber of Commerence. • Makes sure laws are followed.
