  1. The roots of screen printing Screen printing is one of the oldest methods. Many experts have different options from where it started, but some believe that it started in ancient china. Screen printing is a form of stenciling that first appeared in China during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Other Asian countries like Japan then adapted it. According to some other theories, the technique was the root from India in the 4th century, but few others also believe that it was from Egypt in 3000 BC. Majority of them agreed that in Europe until the XVIII century it didn’t arrive and it did not become popular until the silk mesh became easy to import. Earlier in the 1010s, several printers experimenting with photo-reactive chemicals with glues and gelatin compounds. A group of artists who later formed the National serigraphic Society coined the word Serigraphy in the year the 1930s to differentiate the artistic application of screen printing from the industrial use. Andy Warhol was a popular screen-printer identified as Serigraphy in the United States. Warhol was supported in his production by master Screen Printer Michel Caza, a founding member of Fespa. Sister Mary Corita Kent gained international fame for hervibrant serigraphs during the 1960s and in 1970s containing words that were both political and fostered peace and love. This method was used only for decorating clothes, objects, and walls, but after the 19th century, it became popular. Micheal Vasilantone developed a rotary multicolor garment screen printing machine in the year 1960. The original machine was made to print logos on bowling garments but soon led to the new fashion of printing on T-shirts. In June 1986, Marc Tartaglia, Marc Tartaglia Jr., and Micheal Tartaglia created a silk screening device. This invention received the patent number on June 9, 1987; however, the patent no longer exists. Full-color prints are created by printing in CMYK.
