  3. Brief Summary Act I sc i • The King and his queen prepare for their wedding and want some entertainment • Hermia loves Lysander but her father wants her to marry Demetrius • Helena was dumped by Demetrius but she stills gives him details on Hermia/Lysander’s plan to run off and elope.

  4. Summary Act I sc ii Act I sc ii • Some townspeople in Athens meet to rehearse their play “Pyramus and Thisbe” • The skill of the players is less than dazzling • Bottum wants to run the show and often interrupts • The players are worried about offending powerful people
