  15. What We Believe • Our beliefs will be familiar to most Christians. They are • conservative and Evangelical. • We Believe in One God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit • We Believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word and our standard for daily faith and living. • We Believe that man is born with a sinful nature that requires God's forgiveness. • We Believe that those who do not ask God's forgiveness for their sins are hopelessly and eternally lost. • We Believe that Jesus' death on the cross was the atoning sacrifice for the sins of all mankind and that anyone who willingly repents of their sin and asks Christ to be Lord of their life is forgiven and made new in God's eyes. • We Believe that the natural progression of God's grace brings people to a place of total commitment to God - a state we call entire sanctification. • We Believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness in a person's life to the saving and sanctifying work done in that person's life. • We Believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place. << Back What We Believe

  16. What’s a Nazarene? Every church has beliefs or practices that set it apart from other groups. So what’s is a Nazarene? Well... · We are not Baptists, but like Baptists we believe in calling people to repentance and to witness to their new life in Christ through public baptism. · We are not Presbyterians, but like them, we believe in the power of preaching the Word of God to bring about change in people’s lives. · We are not Lutherans, but like the Lutherans, we believe that God offers us salvation through Jesus Christ by grace alone through faith alone. · We are not Charismatics- but like them, we believe in the gifts of the Spirit, who gives us the power to live a Christ-like life. · We are not Episcopalians, but like the Episcopalians, we take worship seriously · We are not United Methodists, yet like our theological cousins, we trace our heritage back to John Wesley. Who are the Nazarenes? We are a warm and friendly group of people who desire, with God’s help, to live holy lives that bring honor and glory to Him. We laugh and cry together, rejoice and grieve together and above all, we aim to be family for all who love Jesus, the Nazarene. << Back What’s a Nazarene?
