  6. CONTACTS

  7. COMPTES • AIRBUS UK • AIRCRAFT SERVICES GROUP • ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY CENTRES (ATC) • AMS • AVIONICS • BAES CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS AND SUPPORT • BAES OPERATIONS • BAES PROGRAMMES • BNFL • CDC • HEAD OFFICE • MBD (UK)

  8. AIRBUS • BAE SYSTEMS has a 20% ownership stake in Airbus. CSC's Airbus (UK) account team's primary objective is to continue to forge a strong and lasting relationship with our partners in Airbus. Whilst we may well be delivering an exceptional service to our partners, their perception of that service and the value we are contributing is critical to our continuing success. Along with our primary objective, the account team strives to: • Ensure client satisfaction • Forge partnerships through the building of strong interpersonal relationships • Act as the conduit for best practice • Make available thought leadership and propositions • Be the catalyst for innovation and exciting offerings • Provide a stimulating and challenging environment, which offers opportunities to our employees to maximise their potential

  9. AIRCRAFT SERVICES GROUP • CSC will partner with Aircraft Services Group (ASG) in achieving its current and future aims through the exploitation and effective delivery of appropriate IT solutions. To achieve this, we aim to create an information technology environment that provides competitive advantage to the ASG business and facilitates future growth. Accordingly, we must implement an integrated technology platform that compliments the integrated business plan. The ASG account team's overall objective is to establish COTS products as a firm foundation for the support and implementation of flexible working practices and processes. This overall investment in new platforms and rejuvenated systems provides an excellent base on which to develop systems to support ASG's business strategy and business plans. We look forward to supporting integration of the IT infrastructure across ASG sites, including the provision of support services at the Herndon, Virginia site in the U.S.

  10. ATC • The management of this recently formed business area provides our CSC account team with many new considerations. In order to optimally support the ATC group, we are concentrating on the specialised business needs posed by a scientific research business. Our objectives are to support the Advanced Technology Centre by combining standard offerings, such as UN1TY, with solutions that meet the unique scientific needs of the business. CSC's account and delivery teams for ATC are aligned with the geographical split within BAE SYSTEMS ATCs and draw upon local expertise and technical management support from Airbus for SRC and Avionics for BBT.

  11. AMS • BAE SYSTEMS Combat and Radar Systems (CaRS) business has recently merged with Alenia Marconi Systems (AMS) which is the joint venture company owned 50% each by BAE SYSTEMS and Finmeccanica, the leading Italian company in the A&D sector. The overriding aim of the account team partnerships with AMS is to ensure that they continue to meet their financial and business objectives. The account team will: • Support the formulation of IT strategy • Focus on assessing the IT applications and supporting infrastructure required by the businesses • Introduce UN1TY as part of the Service Improvement Plan and increase the number of support hours • Develop solutions to support the introduction of collaborative working across client sites in the UK and Italy • Provide exclusive management of all software licences • Improve the procurement process by introducing Acquire IT in 2001 • Assist in IT budgeting • In addition, we will work with AMS to explore introduction of teleworking, develop the requirements and advise on associated IT infrastructure needs.

  12. AVIONICS • BAE SYSTEMS' Avionics business was formed from a collection of former BAe and MES businesses that are now combined into four UK divisions. Each brings their own history, product lines and associated IT systems. CSC's Avionics account team is faced with many challenges and opportunities as we strive to reach our objective of transforming the existing collection of small IT groups into a global capability; we will address legacy issues, cultures and local needs of infrastructure and mission critical applications. Early opportunities are planned in the areas of infrastructure and applications, with the movement to data centres, call/service centres and general consolidation of IT support functions. CSC will also actively engage on major programmes within Avionics supporting bids, partnerships and further restructuring. In November 2000, CSC's Avionics account team was formed. It numbers some 250 staff distributed over 16 UK sites and is composed of CSC staff who transitioned to CSC under the original outsourcing contract in 1994, experienced account staff from other areas of CSC, and new members transitioning into CSC during November 2000. This mix provides a balanced team, ideally organised to meet the demands of the business. Although the members have different backgrounds and experience, all now have common forward looking objectives and bring a unique combination of value and commitment to the account. The CSC team coupled with a new BAE SYSTEMS IT team will jointly drive the new IT strategy.

  13. BAES CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS & SUPPORT • CSC's Customer Solutions and Support (CS&S) account team's structure is aligned with the five of BAE SYSTEMS' CS&S value streams - International Programmes, Land and Sea, Military Air Solutions and Support (MASS), Training Solutions and Operational Services. This structure allows the account team to focus on the individual needs of each business and fully understand the challenges, priorities and cost drivers. The account team objectives are to: • Partner with BAE SYSTEMS to help them achieve their growth targets • Identify the best IT solutions that meet their individual needs • Deliver integrated solutions that enable improved business processes and provide cost savings

  14. BAES OPERATIONS • CSC's Operations account team is structured to deliver best practice to meet the individual IT needs of the Royal Ordnance Defence, Aerostructures, Marine, Export Shipbuilding and Underwater Systems businesses of BAE SYSTEMS. Our objectives are to: • Partner with BAE SYSTEMS to identify and deliver IT solutions that lever real competitive advantage • Ensure the provision of world class service delivery

  15. BAES PROGRAMMES • CSC's Programmes account team is structured to focus on our Programmes partner - and is positioned to best serve their current and evolving business needs. The account team objectives are to: • Be proactive in providing products, services and value propositions that contribute to the Programmes business objectives and customer relationships • Continue to improve our service delivery, aggressively look for additional service improvements and deliver technological innovation to enable the Programmes business to further benefit from efficiencies in operation • Strive to understand the challenges, priorities and cost drivers of each of the Programmes • Act as an authoritative partner to influence strategies and marry technological innovation and expertise, forge new relationships to support the ex-MES programmes, and build upon the success and strength of the relationships and achievements of the past BAE SYSTEMS relationship • The developing maturity of our service delivery organisation and the commitment of all of our staff to providing quality service and project delivery is paramount to us in continuing to remain BAE SYSTEMS' partner of choice.

  16. BNFL • British Nuclear Fuels plc (BNFL) signed an IT outsourcing agreement with CSC in April 2000. Under the agreement, CSC acquired 100 percent ownership of ITS, BNFL's professional information technology services subsidiary. The CSC account team provide the full spectrum of IT services, including network, server, desktop and applications support covering both legacy systems and new applications, such as PeopleSoft and SAP. BNFL is a leading specialist in nuclear technology and a global supplier of nuclear fuel products and services. The company's expertise spans fuel manufacture, uranium procurement and electricity generation through to recycling used fuel, transporting radioactive materials, engineering, waste management and decommissioning. BNFL is unique in being able to provide such a complete range of services and maintains this lead through investment in research and technology. It is this leadership that has made BNFL a multi-million pound export earner for the U.K.

  17. CDC • The history of Computing Devices Company Limited dates back to 1962, when a UK base was established to support an avionics project for the Anglo-Canadian Nimrod MK1 maritime patrol aircraft. From these beginnings, CDC became a pioneer in microprocessor technology for the Defence Industry. Particular expertise and leadership were soon acquired in Airborne Stores Management Systems and Airborne Tactical Reconnaissance Systems - two areas that still form much of CDC's core business. CDC's St Leonards-on-Sea site near Hastings, East Sussex, has grown fivefold over the years and recently undergone modernisation of the premises and installed state-of-the-art workstations for its fast-growing number of staff. 500 highly skilled staff are employed in CDC, with high technology skills in systems engineering, software and the design and manufacture of electronics. Today, CDC is part of General Dynamics, one of the largest international defence companies, with core business in Armoured Vehicles, Ships, Submarines and Electronics. CDC is recognised as a world leader in its niche markets, with a mission to satisfy their customers through the on-time delivery of innovative solutions to defence computing requirements.

  18. HEAD OFFICE • CSC's Head Office and Corporate account team's objective is to meet the needs of BAE SYSTEMS' knowledge workers and virtual teams in order to maximise the use of intellectual capital. To this end, we must support mobile and home working of staff. Our IT service and delivered infrastructure must enable flexibility in resource utilisation and organisation evolution to enable maximum inclusion of partners, customers and supply chain members. At the same time, we will maintain a fully secure IT environment with least impact on business transactions.

  19. MBD (UK) • Matra BAe Dynamics is 50% owned by BAE SYSTEMS. CSC's MBD (UK) account team's objective is to provide value added IT solutions that enable MBD(UK) to maximise its business potential. The account team will deliver quality services that meet MBD(UK)'s needs through continuing development of the integrated business system and desktop service - all with a standardised support structure. CSC will provide a stimulating work environment in which our people can continue to develop their careers by meeting and exceeding the requirements of our world-leading customer as it expands to operate in different countries and among different cultures. We are challenged to demonstrate the excellence of our support to MBD (UK) and so encourage other partners to seek our services, particularly the Italian and French elements of the Matra Joint Venture.
