  5. WHY Did It Happen? • This event happened because towns people called red coats names • This event also happened because children and adults threw snowballs and rocks at the British • A riot began when 50-60 Colonists began threatening Captain Preston and his men MAIN MENU

  7. WHAT Happened? • British • Captain Preston was dragged to court for shooting the Colonists • The red coats fired on towns people three killed two were dying and six others wounded • Colonists • The towns people threw rocks and hit them with clubs and called them names MAIN MENU

  8. OTHER Information • British • The British had a plan to signal the other British troops • Two of the red coats were branded on the thumb and were dismissed from the British army • Colonists • The colonists made the name Boston Massacre to rally against the British police MAIN MENU
