Project Warhawk PROJECT WARHAWK is a collaborative partnership between the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, the Defense Transformation Institute (501)(c)(3) and Lackland AFB to create opportunities to improve the local community and Lackland AFB’s ability to maintain and attract future missions.

  4. JBSA Sustainable Energy Workshop Workshop Goal: Introduce the new AF energy plan driven by President Obama's executive order and partner w/community and commercial energy leaders to explore ways ahead for JBSA. Background: Lackland is already a member of the San Antonio Sustainability Alliance hosted by USAA and participates monthly w/HEB, NISD, UTSA and others to create partnerships to reduce the carbon footprint and meet similar strategies as the AF mandates: (1) reduce demand (2) increase supply—alternative/renewable types of energy (3) change the culture

JBSA Sustainable Energy Workshop Consistent with this goal DTI, in conjunction with the 502 ABW, is sponsoring this workshop focusing on where JBSA is today in supporting DoD Energy mandates and forging a way ahead to meet the objectives. Purpose – Obtain leverage in negotiations, research, and contracts by joining all bases under Joint Base San Antonio together to further the objectives of the Air Force Energy Plan and Presidential mandates.
