  2. Our MISSION Our goal is to Protect, Promote and Facilitate the Region’s duty-free and travel retail channel by providing the means to obtain the most favorable trading environment for travel related commerce.

  3. CEETRA is initially covering: Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria. Our members are airports, retail operators and brand suppliers.

  4. Our Composition • A non-profit organisation • Funded with membership fees which cover the day-to-day functioning costs • Strength lies in a regional approach “Bringing together companies who conduct their business in the specific conditions of the still developing region of Central and Eastern Europe”

Industry Voice • Our politicians do not understand the specific character of the travel retail industry • Travel retail facilities in Central and Eastern Europe lag behind their potential • Laws can harm our trade without our views being heard A dynamic and effective advocacy platform representing the interests of the region’s travel retail and duty free industry in political and trade associations alike.

ASSOCIATION GOALS • Enhance the representational coverage • Promote the industry with key stakeholders • Advance the interest of the duty-free and travel retail industry • To strengthen the Regions representation in the European as well as the Global duty-free and travel retail organizations • To enhance networks by creating a communication junction for the industry in the region • To provide a platform for more extensive industry initiatives • To offer coordination of the industry’s various events

BENEFITS OF JOINING CEETRA • Local problems must be dealt with locally • Politics is local, therefore local governments / authorities prefer to talk to local partners • On national issues, a local / regional voice is strongest • Especially airports are important infrastructure partners with local governments • A regional association will allow for ongoing pro-active promotion of the industry “Local Versus Global”
