Activiteiten • EUROCONTROL staat voor EuropeanOrganisationfor the Safety of Air Navigation. • EUROCONTROL is verantwoordelijk voor het luchtruim boven Europa. • Het regelt de vlieguren van de vliegtuigen, zowel burgerlijk als militair. • De politieke vleugel is de grootste. • Is tweetalig, Engels & Frans.

Evolutie • EUROCONTROL startte in het jaar 1960 en heeft de hele evolutie van de commerciële luchtvaart meegemaakt. • Vanaf het conflict in Kosovo in 1999 is er nu permanent een NATO cel aanwezig. • De afdeling CFMU(Central Data Flow Management) werd eerst opgericht voor het maximum uit het luchtruim te halen, maar is nu verantwoordelijk voor het beheren van de luchtvaart data.
