The IEEE 802 LMSC Executive Secretary proposes changes to the plenary venue selection process. Proposed venues will cover diverse global regions, ensuring at least one plenary outside the United States and North America each year. Additionally, new clauses are introduced, indicating that venue contracts will be negotiated by the meeting manager and require the Executive Committee's approval before being submitted to the IEEE procurement office for formal execution. These changes aim to enhance transparency and efficiency in the venue selection process.
