Philosophy • National Responsibility • Minimum impact on most of the normal flying activities around venues within the mandate of a safe and secure airspace • Impact will be handled with best interests of all concerned • Maximum ac under control leads to minimum possible threat • Proclaim Temporary Restricted Airspace • Flight Authorisation (Screening by ICC, administered by SAAF) • Flight Plan • Transponder • Airspace Management • Departure and Arrival routes • Track Verification • ATC interaction between SAAF and ATNS • Rules of Engagement • SWC 2010 is a reality and the more we can cooperate and have interaction, the more efficient and safer it will be during SWC 2010 Aviation Community - SWC 2010

Hours of Duty Aviation Community - SWC 2010 • 50 NM airspace restrictions: • JHB - 2200Z 10 June 2010 to 2200Z 11 July 2010 • PN – 2200Z 10 June 2010 to 2200Z 26 June 2010 • Stadium Frequency (132.25 MHz): • JHB Stadiums: • 0930Z to 1430Z – 12 ;14 June 2010 • 1200Z to 1700Z – 11; 18; 24 June 2010 • 1630Z to 2130Z – 15; 17; 20; 21; 23; 27; 28 June + 2; 3; 11 July 2010 • Loftus Versfeld Stadium: • 1200Z to 1700Z – 23; 29 June 2010 • 1630Z to 2130Z – 13; 16; 19; 25 June 2010

  7. Hours of Duty… Aviation Community - SWC 2010 • Stadium Frequency (132.25 MHz): • Royal Bafokeng Stadium: • 0930Z to 1430Z – 15; 19 June 2010 • 1200Z to 1700Z – 22 June 2010 • 1630Z to 2130Z – 12; 24; 26 June 2010

Hours of Duty … • Tower Liaison Officers: • As per Temporary Restricted Airspace for the games • Pilot Screening and Flight Authorisation • 24 May 0600Z to 11 July 2010 2200Z : 24 hours • Airfield Liaison Officers • Daily from 0600Z until completion of FIFA activities • SAPS Aviation Community - SWC 2010

General Authorisation and Screening Procedures • Call centre manned from 24 May 2010 • Contact screening cell with detail as per AIP SUP S044/10 dd 06 May 2010 • Tel: 012 312 2625 Fax: 012 312 2626 • pilotscreening@telkomsa.net • flightautho@telkomsa.net • At least 48hrs before the flight for pre-screening • Once screened, apply at least 24 hrs before flight for authorisation • Receive unique authorisation number • Add to FPL in Field 18 • SQUAWK Aviation Community - SWC 2010

General Authorisation and Screening Procedures… • Once pre-screened, phone call centre with following info: • Security Screening Code (SSC) • Date and time of departure • A/c registration • Flight details • Contact details • Issued with FAC (flight authorisation code) – Field 18 • If any changes are to be made to the flight (delay of more than 2 hours, change of aircraft or change of route) – inform call centre • NB:FAC is only valid for that one specific flight • If not transponder equipped, NO FLYING close to special airspace Aviation Community - SWC 2010

  11. Special Arrangements – High Risk Events • Air space security requires additional guidelines for flight authorisation on 11 and 12 June 2010 • 11 June 2010, 1030Z to 1630Z – no training flights within 50nm JSV • All non-scheduled flights within 30nm Soccer City – approval by exception only • Scheduled flights to and from FAGC and FAGM – crew screening + flight authorisation required – granted by exception only • 12 June 2010, 1700Z to 2030Z - no training flights within 50nm PNV • All non-scheduled flights within 30nm Royal Bafokeng – approval by exception only • Scheduled flights to and from FAPN – crew screening + flight authorisation required • NOTE: Air space security might require similar additional guidelines for flight authorisation during other SWC events Aviation Community - SWC 2010

  12. Airfield Liaison Officer • Stationed at airfield – manoeuvring area • Policing to ensure compliance • Assist with ID of potential threats • Assist to minimise disruption of normal business • NOT to do FPL or flight admin • Random checks on screening codes • Assist with solving of problems at the airfields – not issuing of FACs Aviation Community - SWC 2010
