Departmental Honors Professor Cynthia Daniels, Department Chair, Professor Jan Kubik, Vice Chair for Undergraduate Studies, and the faculty of the Department of Political Science ask you to join them in congratulating the senior Political Science majors who have completed their theses and been awarded Political Science Departmental Honors. In order to receive departmental honors, a student must spend two semesters doing extensive research under the supervision of a member of the Political Science faculty in order to produce a research paper. The final paper is also read by another faculty member and then orally defended in front of both the faculty advisor and a second reader.
