  2. TEAM POTENTIAL AXLR8R is a diverse team of talented engineering students determined to get the most of their educational experience. Through passion and commitment, students collaborate as a team to design and fabricate a formula style open-wheeled race car that competes in the annual Formula SAE competition. AXLR8R Formula Racing brings Under Graduates and Post Graduates students from across campus. Our team recognizes the benefits of working as a cross-functional team and invites all students at IIT-Delhi to join IIT-Delhi Formula Racing. Rounding out our team are engineering, basic science and business management. Under Graduate Students (B.Tech) - 12 Post Graduate Students (M.Tech) - 05 Post Graduate Students (M.Des) - 03

TEAM MAKEUP The team includes both Under Graduates and Post Graduate students contributing his or her skills in a specialized area of interest such as Technical (Engine, Chassis, Suspension, Electronic-Controls ),Marketing, Finance and Logistics. A dynamic team leader works to synchronize all of the team’s efforts and create a unique vehicle that will proudly represent its institution in a field of over 140 universities from around the world.

  4. THE CHALLENGE The team is engineering the car to compete with other 140 Universities from all over the World at Silverstone in July 2008. COMPETITION - FORMULA STUDENT SCHEDULE - 10th -13th ,JULY 2008 (TENTATIVE DATES ANNOUNCED BY ORGANISERS) VENUE - SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT ,NEAR SILVERSTONE VILLAGE,UNITED KINGDOM TOTALPARTICIPATION -140 UNIVERSITIES PARTICIPATE FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE. THE GRANDEUR -THE COMPETITION WILL HOST 4,500 PARTICIPANTS WITH A HUGE NUMBER OF SPECTATORS, INCLUDING REPORTERS AND MEDIA.

  5. THE COMPETITION • Formula Student is the biggest and best of its kind in Europe. Run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), in partnership with the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET), RS Components, Shell and Solid Works. • Formula Student attracts entries from universities all over the World, from the UK, mainland Europe ,Americas, Asia and Australia. • Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit near the village of Silverstone in the United Kingdom. It is best known as the home of the British Grand Prix. The circuit is also home to the BRDC International Trophy, formerly one of the premier non-Championship F1 races in the calendar. • Last Year Formula Racing Team of IIT-Delhi participated in FSAE-West 2007 at California Speedway,Fontana,California,USA.
