  2. Purpose • To provide customers with an understanding of Service Installation Guarantee (SIG) credits, how they are applied and how they will appear on the customer’s bill • FCC Tariff Section 2.4.9 Private/Proprietary: Not for Use or Disclosure Outside BellSouth Except Under Written Agreement

  3. Service Installation Guarantee The failure of BellSouth to meet a service date commitment will result in a credit of an amount equal to the nonrecurring charges associated with the service. The nonrecurring charges will be credited at the rate they were billed. The credit will not be provided if a credit of the same nonrecurring charge for the same service is provided under any other provision. Intent • BellSouth assures that orders for services to which the Service Installation Guarantee (SIG) applies will be installed and available for customer use no later than the confirmed service date.   5. Applicable Services • The services that qualify for Service Installation Guarantee are: • Voice Grade • Program Audio • Wideband Analog • Wideband Data • Digital Data Access • Dry Fiber • High Capacity Service • LightGate Service • SMARTRing® Channel Interfaces • SMARTPath® Service • Virtual Cross Connect Elements – DS1 and DS3 Private/Proprietary: Not for Use or Disclosure Outside BellSouth Except Under Written Agreement

  6. When is Service Installation Guarantee Not Applicable • Orders with service date intervals of four (4) business days or less • Orders with service dates that have been advanced from the standard or negotiated service interval • When the failure is due to: • Any act or omission, including lack of an accurate service order, on the part of the customer • Acts of God, war or other governmental action beyond BellSouth control • Unavailability of customer’s facilities and/or equipment • Orders requiring Special Construction • SMARTRing® Ring Level Elements • Public Packet Switching • FlexServ® Service • Derived Data Channel • Video Services • Jointly Provisioned Services • Virtual Expanded Interconnection Private/Proprietary: Not for Use or Disclosure Outside BellSouth Except Under Written Agreement
