  1. Different Types of Road Surface Material What are the different types of road surfacing materials? With an increase in road density, the number of vehicles, and foot traffic, it becomes important for the government authorities to have properly functioning roads and pavement surfaces. It not only provides a demarcated area for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles to use, but also maintains a high level of safety to prevent unfortunate intersection and mishaps among the 3 types of human and vehicular footfall we see on public roads.

  2. Interested to know which are the common types of pavement material used? Then read on and be informed: 1 – Airport surfaces A unique feature of airport surfaces is that it should be conducive for the plane’s tires to perform at an optimal level. For this, the asphalt of the road surfaces need an additional enhancement. A popular way to improve the performance of asphalt roads and prevent harm from petroleum fuel lining the road surface, is to use Endurablend. This helps to coat the surface to boost the runway’s performance. It is also used for airport runway markings, taxiway surface coating, and antiskid surfacing in other areas like the cargo hold. It can also be used with retroreflective glass to provide linear coordinates and marking during the night time. 2 – Decorative concrete The area surrounding the highway or roadways are often designed in tasteful hues. This not only accentuates the overall look of the area, but provides a clear demarcation for the pedestrian to walk on and remain far from vehicular traffic. For asphalt and concrete surfaces, a good micro-surfacing treatment like Endurablend can come in handy. It not only provides a rich look to the green pavement, crosswalks, sidewalks, footpaths, and intersections, but also elevates it lifespan up by several notches. Such surface coatings can withstand extremities like snow plowing, salts, de-icing materials, oils and most chemicals. Even if you need to qualify for LEED credits, such protective coatings can work in your favor and help reduce energy costs significantly. 3 – Bridge decking materials With polymer modified cement like Endurablend, authorities can easily improve the lifespan of bridge decking materials. It is typically applied at 1/8 inch over the bide deck surface. The super-thin film provides multiple advantages. It helps seal the surface to prevent the occurrence of slats. Also de-icing and film of petroleum will be rendered ineffective with a protective coating of Endurablend working on top of the bridge deck. 4 – Standard Concrete

  3. This is a good option where footfall is low and heavy car traffic is minimal. Concrete can lend a beautiful look but is known to not function well under heavy loads. To sign off Knowing about these different types of outdoor road surfacing materials will help the authorities to decide on the right type of pavement material to opt for depending on the specific need.
