Ashoka’s Youth Venture • Pioneered the field of youth social entrepreneurship; youth division of Ashoka • Building a global culture of young people creating positive, lasting change • Invested in over 1,200 youth teams to launch their own social ventures, involving over 25,000 young people • Connecting them into a global network of Youth Venturers • Operating in 14 countries and growing “Youth Venture has encouraged diverse initiatives, ranging from sixth-grade kids who teach math to third-graders to high schoolers who have set up an internationally recognized organization to combat childhood diabetes.”

Corporate Partners • Staples • Helps expand Youth Venture to 7 countries, where younger Staples associates launch Ventures themselves • Holds “That was Easy” competition on impact of Venture teams, with Staples shopping spree for winning team Ben and Jerry’s • “Scoopers” launch Venture teams through Youth Venture with support of senior executives in Ben and Jerry’s Virgin Mobile • Teaming up to inspire and support homeless youth to launch Ventures MTV • Partner with various branches of MTV to offer the Youth Venture opportunity to young people across the US and Latin America via on-air and online promotions • Launch themed campaigns to inspire and fund young people to launch Ventures through YV Starbucks • Nationwide campaign to promote the Youth Venture opportunity to the community • Starbucks employees invited to launch Ventures themselves Burton Snowboards • 6-city marketing tour with Olympic snowboarder Hannah Teeter inspiring teens to launch ventures Pepsi • Launch Ventures and do publicity campaign on the Ventures launched

USA Venture Team Shawn & team – Garden Angels (Brooklyn, New York) • The Idea • Transform an abandoned, trash-filled lot into a park and community garden • Raise awareness about relevant community concerns, such as multicultural understanding • Impact • 50 core members and over 200 other youths participate in events and programs • Sean honored at 2005 presidential inauguration youth service event with President Bush

Argentina Venture Team Emanuel & team – “Lucha Contra el Dengue” (Struggle Against Dengue) (Formosa, Argentina) • The idea • Decrease the number of people affected by the dengue virus in their region through prevention activities • Educate the community on dengue fever prevention through skits, information materials and public speaking • Impact • More than 1,000 young people have been reached by the program in first 6 months • The venture has already been replicated across the border in Paraguay by an independent organization

Mexico Venture Team Jesus, Juan Carlos & team – RAPEM (Mexico City, Mexico) The idea • After years of making a name for themselves as artists, Jesús (Méxica) and Juan Carlos (Smiley) decided it was time to teach others. Together, they started RAPEM (Rap Pandillero Estilo Mexicano) • Disguised as a school for rap, RAPEM is dedicated to giving young people across Mexico a safe, non-violent outlet to share their experiences, with the hopes of bringing together gangs and across territories and to change society’s perception of gang urban youth
