  2. Job Description • Trusted to get documents safe away from harm. • There are Many different assistances. Optometrist, pediatric. • The main duties of a medical assistant is to take vitals, filling out patient records, lab services, and just help around the hospital

  3. Positives of job • College takes about 2 years, a associates degree, in some cases its not even required at all. • Regular hour days (40 hours a week) • Benefits: Dental insurance, long term disability, 401k, retirement plan.

  4. Weaknesses of a Medical assistant • Salary: around $37,000(national average) • You have to adapt to the job, you have to learn all the instruments, specific rules and regulations. • Your not a real MD

  5. Job Hot Spot • The best locations for this position would either be in really big cities, or in rural places where they need medics.

  6. Job outlook • The rate is supposed to increase 31% from 2010- 2020. • A lot of hospitals want to hire these types of assistances to help out the real MD’s • Sometimes when the MD’s aren’t there the specific assistances are supposed to take over.
