REFORMED MATURITA EXAMINATION • Introduced in 2004 • Implemented in 2011 • Common part – school-leavers at grammar schools • Vocational parts – all other types of vocational schools
COMMON PART • 2 compulsory exams Czech language English language or Mathematics • No more than 2 optional /non-compulsory exams/ • Languages – similar structure didactic test written exam /essay/ oral exam
ENGLISH LANGUAGE • Didactic test – 35 minutes /50%/ listening comprehension reading comprehension use of English • Written exam – 60 minutes /25%/ • Oral exam – 15 minutes /25%/ • Test are based on so-called catalogues of requirements
vocational part • 2-3 compulsory exams • No more than 2 non-compulsory exams • The content is set by the headmaster • The content is based on national and school curricula
