Initiative follows by State • Crop wise scope for area expansion through diversification of low yielding cereal crops/ intercropping/ use of fallow land • Replacement of low yielding traditional crops like minor millet by high yielding Oilseed crop. • Popularize Intercropping system in soybean & Arhar, soybean & maize, Soybean & Jowar, Groundnut & Maize. • Replacement of upland paddy by oilseed crops. • Fallow land has to be converted in cultivated oilseed.

Water management and augmentation of ground water. • Promoting judicious use of irrigation through sprinkler. • Promoting sprinkler irrigation through 30% Top-up subsidy. • Ridge & furrow system is being followed in soybean but in case of irrigated area efforts are being made in oilseed crop of rapeseed and mustard. • Conducting cluster demonstration on production Technology. • Increasing seed replacement rate.

  10. Suggestions about New Guide Line • Short Availability of breeder seed. All Govt. farm and other Seed growing societies should be allowed. • There is a limitation of five years old varieties for certified seed as well as hybrid seed production. It should be at last ten years. • In case of sprayer there should not be a subcategory of SC/ST and Others. • In case of sprinkler there is a subcategories of DPAP and non DPAP but in case of NFSM there is no such categories. • The seed storage bin component is not required by the state hence it should be deleted.
