So how can you control your sugar level from shooting up? Here are some tips that you can follow: 1. Regular Exercise - Regular Exercise allows your body to release insulin a hormone that helps break down sugar in your blood.Simple excercise like 30 minute brisk walking, jogging and biking can be a good start. 2. Eat Healthy – Eating food with high sugar content can easily cause an increase in your sugar level and could be dangerous. Eating healthy doesn’t mean restricting yourself of foods you love to eat. It means eating a balanced meal in controlled proportions. 3. Stay Hydrated – Drink a lot of water which helps keeping your blood sugar level within healthy limits. It dilute the sugar in your blood and could help flush it out of your body through urine. Avoiding soda and other beverages with high sugar level is also a must.

  2. 4.Reduce the amount of salt and sodium in you diet. Consume fewer processed and packaged foods. Also cut down on restaurant meals. Cook at home more, and use less salt in cooking. 5.Have A Cup Of Green Tea- Drinking green tea is a good way to cut calories and control blood sugar levels. It can improve the insulin sensitivity, though the evidence is not strong enough to make solid recommendation. 6. Relax - Depression and stress can stimulate the nervous and endocrine system which in turn enhance blood sugar levels. In order to reduce stress, you could try some breathing exercises or meditation practice. 7. Do Not Skip Or Delay Meals - Breakfast is very important for you to control weight and other factors of health. If your meals and carbohydrates are spaced evenly throughout the day, your blood glucose will be regulated stably. More carbohydrates at any one time could increase the blood sugar too high, even when you take medicine. 8. Get More Sleep - Inadequate sleep can affect the body chemistry. It could lead to enhanced appetite, higher blood glucose, or a thicker waistline.Getting enough sleep will help the blood sugar levels retain its mode. Monitoring your blood sugar through lab tests is a necessary if you have any history of diabetes in the family or if you’re experiencing symptoms. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
