  15. Step 3: Designing an Experiment • Must be a CONTROLED EXPERIMENT, one in which everything (VARIABLES) stays the same except for one variable. • Variables are factors that can change in an experiment • Variables can be materials or procedures

  23. STEP 5: Drawing Conclusions • Draw a conclusion about your hypothesis • Decision about how to interpret what you have learned from the experiment • Sometimes no conclusion can be reached and more data is needed.
