  7. Comparison J.K. Rowling had her idea of Harry Potter on a delayed train ride in 1990. But Stephanie Meyer may have taken her place as everybody's favorite author. Stephanie had her idea of Twilight in a dream on June 1, 2003. A vampire had been telling the girl he loved how much he was trying not to kill her. The idea was so fascinating Meyer had to write it down. In the process, the dream turned into a story. Then it was sent to a publisher. Soon, Meyer’s story was published and was titled, ‘Twilight’. She made the book a series and she wrote New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.J.K. Rowling had 7 books in her series, while Stephanie Meyer had 5. As soon as the excitement for Harry Potter calmed down, Stephanie and the publisher released Twilight and soon the excitement was back up again over the book. But when the Harry Potter movies started coming out, the excitement was rising. Then Twilight movies popped in, and everybody was in love with J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter, and Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight. Excitement rose and rose as more and more Harry and Twilight movies came out. But everyone was more excited than ever when the very last Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, came out. Then Everything was chaotic. Movie theaters were mobbed from wall to wall, they played the movie over a million times, and Warner Bros. earned over a $3 million for it, more than any other Harry movie. But nobody forgot about Twilight. They kept reading and watching the books and movies. No one forgot the Harry books and movies, either. They took the books off their shelves and read the series through, book by book. Then they watched the movies in order. Harry Potter and his creator, J.K. Rowling, and Twilight and its creator, Stephanie Meyer, made their way to fame one book and movie at a time.
