  3. IRRE TOSCANA • There are 19 IRRE in Italy (20 regions) • Each IRRE has administrative autonomy • They are under the supervision of the Ministry of Education in Rome Socrates Comenius 3.1 MULTIVERSUM

IRRE TOSCANA • Staff: 38 • Management: a General Secretary (appointed by the Ministry of Education) and a Chairperson (elected by the Board of Directors ) • It co-operates with the Educational Library, the European Education Centre and with a number of Universities Socrates Comenius 3.1 MULTIVERSUM

IRRE TOSCANA • It works with all levels and types of schools throughout Tuscany • It fosters and carries out educational research • it promotes a great number of projects within three macro areas: life-long learning, school autonomy, disciplinary knowledge and curricula Socrates Comenius 3.1 MULTIVERSUM
