Enhancing Healthcare Access through Telemedicine in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

This initiative aims to upgrade the knowledge of doctors in remote areas through Continuous Medical Education (CME). Approximately 600 patients have benefited from telemedicine consultations, experiencing significant healthcare access improvements. By reducing the need for travel to Chennai or Kolkata, patients have saved a minimum of Rs. 50,000 each, alleviating financial burdens. The program also mitigates stress and psychological pressure by allowing in-house consultations with super-specialists, enhancing overall patient wellbeing in disaster-prone regions.
