  2. MEETING PURPOSE Thank you for joining us and participating in this community discussion. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information on the service changes that will take effect on Monday, May 6, 2019. Public comment meetings were held on January 17 & 24.

  3. MEETING FORMAT Be considerate of meeting attendees and COTA staff. Please silence cell phones and other technology. Participants are encouraged to complete comment cards. Please print clearly. Following the presentation, staff will be available at each table to take your comments or feedback.

  4. SERVICE CHANGE SCHEDULE COTA modifies service three times per year – the first Monday of: • January • May • September May 2019 changes will begin on: Monday, May 6, 2019

Bus Schedule Changes Goal: Improve on-time performance by adjusting scheduled stop arrival and departure times on the following bus lines: • Frequent Lines • 5 W. 5th Ave./Refugee (Weekday) • Rush Hour (Weekday) • Line 13 Arlington/1st • Line 41 Crosswoods-Polaris • Line 45 New Albany • Standard Lines • 3 Northwest/Harrisburg (Saturday) • 9 W. Mound/Brentnell (Sunday) • 22 OSU-Rickenbacker (Weekday) • 25 Brice (All Days) • 31 Hudson (All Days) • Line 102 (formerly 2L) Polaris/N. High (All Days) 6

  8. Zoo bus 2019 Goal: Provide direct and convenient bus service between Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and Downtown Columbus for visitors and workers. Saturday, May 11: Weekend-only service begins Monday, May 27(Memorial Day): first weekday of service operates on Holiday/Sunday schedule Tuesday, May 28 through Monday, Sept. 2 (Labor Day): Operates 7 days a week Operates Holiday/Sunday schedule on Memorial Day, July 4th, & Labor Day 8

  10. Line Renamed: 2L changed to 102 Polaris pkwy/ n. high Goal: Reduce confusion between Line 2 and Line 2L and help riders better understand the nature of Limited Stop bus lines. Beginning May 6th: “Line 2L N. High/Polaris Pkwy” will be renamed “Line 102 Polaris Pkwy/ N. High” What is a Limited Stop bus line? Limited stop bus lines skip stops for faster service. Only select stops shown on the schedule brochure are served. CMAX and Line 102 (formerly 2L) are COTA’s limited stop bus lines. 10

New downtown routing: Regular route to eastbound on E. Main Street • Turn Right on S. 5th Street (instead of Grant Avenue) • Turn Right on E. Mound Street • End of Line: E. Mound at S. 4th Street (across the street from Columbus Downtown High School) 12

New Northbound Route • Continue north on Westerville Road • Left on Old Dublin-Granville Road • Right on Dublin-Granville Road • Right on Ponderosa Drive • Continue on existing route New Southbound Route • Continue east on Great Woods Blvd. • Right on Ponderosa Drive • Left on Dublin-Granville Road • Left on Old Dublin-Granville Road • Right on Westerville Road and continue on existing route 20

  23. No change to service: Line 43 Westerville Past Proposal: Combine unproductive early A.M. & P.M. trips on Line 43 Westerville due to low ridership. Outcome: COTA will not combine trips on Line 43. New data shows Line 43 ridership is beginning to increase. 23

  24. Additional trips: Line 52 Canal Winchester Goal: Add A.M. & P.M. trips to better meet demands of new ridership A.M. Trips to Downtown Columbus P.M. Trips to Canal Winchester P&R 24

  25. Additional trips: Line 72 Tuttle Goal: Due to standing room-only buses, COTA added a new A.M. and P.M. trip to Line 72 Tuttle effective March 25th. *Adjusted/added trips circled in red 25

  27. Short North Streetscape Construction Lines affected: • CBUS • Line 1 Kenny/Livingston • Line 2 E. Main/N. High • Line 5 W. 5th Ave./Refugee • Night Owl • Line 102 Polaris Pkwy/ N. High (formerly Line 2L) Goal: Maintain service during construction on N.   29. Relocate Long & High stop (Id 4157) Goal: Return Long & High stop to southwest corner upon completion of construction project on that corner. Expected relocation to take place in summer 2019. Exact date to be determined. 29

Vernon – Creative Campus Project (Line 6, Line 9, CMAX) • North Broadway & Olentangy River Road roadway & freeway improvements (Line 32, Line 72) • Polaris Parkway from I-71 to Westerville Rd. improvements (Line 102 (formerly 2L), CMAX) • N. High St. & E. 15thAve. redevelopment (Line 1, Line 2, Line 102 (formerly 2L), Line 31,Night Owl) • Riverside Dr. & Nottingham Rd. Third Ave. between Northwest Blvd. & Edgehill Road (Line 3) • Sidewalk construction on north side of street • May 2019 • McGuffey & Duxberry sidewalk construction (Line 8) • July 2019 • Hamilton Road from 161 to Morse Road street widening (Line 24) • July 2019 31
