This report discusses the evaluation of Bari scores for all animals based on LAD and LCX pre-occlusion angiograms. No significant differences in the pre-occlusion area at risk, as determined by the Bari Score, were found between groups, suggesting comparable coronary vascularization. ANCOVA analysis indicated that the area at risk does not significantly influence outcomes in APOSEC-treated animals. The methods utilized included SPSS Statistics for analyzing infarction size as the dependent variable against therapy group factors.

Supplementary Figure 4: Bari scores for all animals were calculated based on LAD and LCX pre-occlusion angiograms according to the method previously described [1,32] (a). No significant differences in the pre occlusion area at risk determined by the Bari Score were found between groups indicating a comparable coronary vascularization. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) showed that the pre occlusion area at risk is not a parameter which significantly influences the better outcome in APOSEC treated animals (b,c). Supplementary Figure 4 Methods Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was performed in SPSS Statistics 18 (SPSS Inc., USA). Infarction size was defined as dependent variable, therapy group as fixed factors and the area at risk calculated by the Bari score was defined as covariate.
