The CHTF started its activities in 1940 with the degree in Chemical Engineering. The history of food studies began in 1942 at CHTF. OBJECTIVES: - Prepare Skilled graduates to support the food industry, able to act in different areas like: . Production . Quality Control and Quality Management . Development of New Products and Processes . Research and Development . Distribution and Marketing . Industry Management . Consulting and Education The graduates work: 25% in Research and Development 75% in Food Industry - Establish the connection between the academic, scientific and industrial realities A five year university diploma, after 12 undergraduate study years. The disciplines are grouped in 6 main topics: 93% Compulsory 7 % Optional distributed as: Industrial Training: Compulsory in summer after 6th term (no credits) Opportunities to go abroad: - individually Date: January 2001
