  1. American Water Works Association Poster Competition Win a trip to San Diego, California! The AWWA Michigan Section Young Professional (YP) Committee is hosting a poster competition for drinking water professionals and college students in the water works field ages 35 and under.There are no restrictions on topics, but they should be related to the drinking water industry. The YP committee will review abstracts and select entries to be shown and judged at the AWWA/MWEA Joint Expo in February 2009. The winner will receive an expense paid trip to the AWWA National Conference in June 2009 in San Diego, California to compete against other “Fresh Ideas” AWWA state section winners. Please submit your abstract or questions to Dan Lewis at dlewis@preinnewhof.com by December 3, 2008, for consideration. Abstracts should include the poster’s title, description of work proposed, and any preliminary or anticipated conclusions.
