Louisiana Believes is committed to aiding districts in the preparation for the 2014-2015 school year by releasing instructional resources and professional development opportunities. We will provide direct support to educators, including teachers and principals, through free and recommended professional development focused on ELA instruction, math instruction, and collaborative school structures. Our initiatives encompass a PD calendar, alignment with standards, and curated resources released on March 1st to ensure quality curriculum and assessment guidance.

  1. 14-15 Support Model Louisiana Believes To help districts plan and prepare for the 14-15 school year the Department will: Release and recommend instructional and district resources and professional developmentand Providedirect support to teachers, principals, and districts.

Professional Development Louisiana Believes The Department will increase professional development support for districts: • Provide free and recommended professional development: • Focus on ELA instruction, math instruction, and school collaboration structures • Calendar including DOE provided PD for the 14-15 year (including June Teacher leader event, in person training, virtual support) • Recommendation of standards-aligned quality PD providers (for purchase) • Release math and ELA packaged recommendations: • Guides package reviews of curriculum, assessment and PD with DOE created materials to illustrate one recommended approach for curriculum, assessment, and professional development Materials released March 1st
