What is the Resource Room? • The Resource Room was designed to provide extra support for your academic endeavors. We will provide modified coursework, homework help, and other related services. : • You are all in High School, you are expected to be mature and ask for help when needed. • You are also expected to remember (or keep a copy of your schedule) and come to each scheduled time.
Excused Absences: • Ask you Case Manager first before missing a scheduled group time. • Tests, Quizzes, Projects, and Absences are the only excuses. • Your Special Education Teacher will determine if you are allowed to miss your time, but remember you will need to make it up on Friday. We will tell you the period that you need to come on Friday if you get approved to miss.
Expectations: • Arrive on time- come directly to us when the bell rings • Sign in • Take out materials: paper, pencils • Work well with your group • You will be excused back to class before it ends to get your missed work
Basic Schedule/Materials: • Monday: Bring English work • Tuesday: Bring Writing work or anything college related • Thursday: Bring Math work • Friday (Make-up): Bring work for whichever subject you missed. • You are only permitted to come during your scheduled time, unless previously approved by your Case Manager or your teacher calls and asks. • We share a room, so we need to be considerate.
Consequences • If you miss your scheduled time, it will be considered cutting unless previously arranged. • You will be written up for Office Hours • If you do not attend you will be given a Wednesday Detention • Your write ups will count towards all of your total write ups and once you accumulate 5, you will be given a detention (school rule) • If you skip detention, you will be suspended.
Push-in • You will also see us in your classrooms from time to time (helping everyone) so please ask for help when we are there.
Working together • Your parents/guardians, teachers, and administration are all going to give you 100% effort and help • You need to do your part in order for it to work.
