  4. “Dear brothers and sisters, here’s an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or amend an irrevocable agreement, so it is in this case. Galatians 3:15-18, (NLT)

  5. God gave the promises to Abraham and his child. And notice that the Scripture doesn’t say “to his children,” as if it meant many descendants. Rather, it says “to his child”—and that, of course, means Christ. Galatians 3:15-18, (NLT)

  6. This is what I am trying to say: The agreement God made with Abraham could not be canceled 430 years later when God gave the law to Moses. God would be breaking his promise. Galatians 3:15-18, (NLT)

  17. Aren’t the Promise and the Law in conflict with each other? Key Question #2:

  18. “Is there a conflict, then, between God’s law and God’s promises? Absolutely not! If the law could give us new life, we could be made right with God by obeying it. Galatians 3:21 (NLT)

  23. How is life different as a child of the promise versus a child of the Law? Key Question #3:

  32. Our security in our relationship with God never was about our ability to perform according to the Law. Our one hope, our one shot, our only prayer is our faith in the promise of God in Jesus. Period.
