  1. Blog: Petite School House The Importance of Physical Activity for Preschoolers Physical activity is any type of activity that requires the movement of the body parts. Children remain physically active through organized sports, routine tasks or any kind of game that necessitates physical movement and exercise. In preschool, children are encouraged to stay physically active and learn through playing since it has numerous health benefits. Physical activities can be divided into three categories, such as ●Light physical activity: Activity causes no huffing or puffing. ●Moderate physical activity: Children gently inhale and exhale while doing such activities. ●Vigorous physical activity: Children breathe in and out rapidly and sweat profusely. Preventing a hunched posture is vital in a child's development, especially with the average sedentary lifestyle that becomes more prominent as time passes.
