  5. Georgia Farm Bureau 2018 High School Art Contest CONTEST GUIDELINES The contest is open to students in Georgia, grades 9 through 12, for the 2017-2018 academic year. Entries should be submitted to the county Farm Bureau office by the deadline set by the county. Each county will select one winner at the county level and submit it to the state level by the deadline date of Friday, March 9, 2018. Drawings will be judged on the following: • How well the artwork represents modern agriculture found in the student’s county • Artistic Merit Previous state winners are not eligible. http://www.gfbfoundation.org/aitc_art.html

  6. Power of Word Scholarship 2018 • The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Sigma Omega Zeta Chapter is accepting scholarship applications from Clayton or Henry County private and public high school students who will be graduating in the spring of 2018. • Applicants are required to submit the following information in order for their package to be considered: • Completed scholarship application form. • An official high school transcript. • One Letter of Recommendation (Academic, Community or Church related) • A copy of the college or university acceptance letter Applicants must be a female graduating senior from an accredited high school in Clayton or Henry County, GA. The completed typed application and all the supporting documents must be postmarked by March 10, 2018. Concordia College Alabama Total cost of our college is $17,020 a year  (No out-of-state tuition fee) Minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 on their final high school transcript to be accepted  Our institutional scholarships start at a 2.5 GPA. For example, if your students have a 3.0 GPA and a 18 ACT or 860 SAT, they will qualify for $5000 in scholarships. The higher their GPA and ACT/SAT score the higher the scholarship amount. Scholarship deadline is, May 31, 2018 Students can apply online at www.ccal.edu by click on "Apply Now" and the application fee will be waived.

  10. 2018 Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship The goal of this scholarship is to assist deserving high school seniors in their first year of college and to promote community banking.  To compete, students must be sponsored by a local community bank, must complete an activity record expressing their leadership activity in school, write a short essay on community banking, provide teacher recommendations and an official high school transcript.  The Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship is open to Georgia high school seniors who will be entering a Georgia college, university or technical college (two-year program or more) in the fall semester of 2018. Awards are based on academic merit and not financial need. This new policy expands upon our longstanding practice of meeting 100 percent of each admitted student’s demonstrated financial need without loans.   22. Eagles Landing Family Practice offering a new scholarship $1,000 scholarship for a local athlete. ELFP, in conjunction with NFL player Hines Ward and Positive Athlete Georgia, are looking to reward student athletes whose accomplishments extend beyond the ball field with the Eagles Landing Family Practice Family Values Award.   23. Sinclair L. Joe Memorial Scholarship The Sinclair Joe Legacy Foundation Inc. (“SJLF”) presents the Sinclair L. Joe Memorial Scholarship founded to honor the legacy of Sinclair Joe. Applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Must have a diagnosis of a debilitating illness (primarily cancer) through themselves, a parent, a sibling, or a parent who has passed away as a result of cancer or other debilitating illness 2. Community service 3. Between the ages of 16 – 20 years 4. GPA of 3.0 or higher 5. Be accepted or in his/her first year of enrollment at an accredited 2 or 4 year college. 6.
