Introduction • There is a need for information in making informed decisions addressing key issues faced by all competitive businesses. • Business Research: • Is the application of the scientific method in searching for the truth about business phenomena. • These activities include defining business opportunity and problems, generating and evaluating ideas, monitoring performance, and understanding the business process. (Babin, Carr & Griffin, 2010, p. 5)

Introduction Cont… • Challenges: • Lack of skills to review, summarize, critique and use article, books • Copy and past – committing unethical practice which is unacceptable • Not aware of that various research methods • Setting a problem in terms of finding the degree of correlation between two sets of data • Devising a problem to which the answer can be only yes or no • Time management – failure to read other courses in the semester which results repeat cases
