Cal Grant A, B and C • Cal Grant A are for the four year university • Cal Grant B (Entitlement and Competitive) • GPA • March 2nd (September 2nd for Competitive) • $1551.00 (each year up to 4 years) • Cal Grant C • Vocational Programs (e.g., Certificate) • GPA • March 2nd or September 2nd • $576

  7. Federal Pell Grant • FAFSA (looks at your Expected Family Contribution) • For people who does not have a bachelor degree yet • Satisfactory progress (keep good grades) • Up to $5,550.00 per year

  8. General Loans • Two types of loans: • Subsidized loans • Unsubsidized loans • FAFSA • All students are required to go to a Loan Workshop • Explain all the rules before you can borrow

  9. Federal Work Study • Opportunity to earn part or all of student’s financial need by working on or off campus • Part-time job: teacher’s aide, clerk, grounds person, custodian, and lab assistant, etc. • Wage will be determined by the type and difficulty of the work • Must visit the Career Placement Office for a job referral appointment
