  1. Alma Mater Louisiana State Provides Veterinary Education to Philip Treuil Dr. Philip Treuil studied for his doctorate at Louisiana State University. The actual moniker is Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, founded in 1853.

Philip Treuil Takes His Graduate Veterinary Training at LSU Philip Treuil attended Louisiana State University, or LSU, a coeducational university in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for his graduate veterinary training. Founded in 1853 in Pineville, LSU was originally known as the Louisiana State Seminary of Learning & Military Academy. Philip Treuil enjoyed more than 250 buildings in the Italian Renaissance style, many on the Registry of Historic Places, which rest on the 650 acre campus on the bank of the Mississippi River. This largest institution of higher learning in Louisiana is the lead university in the Louisiana State University system. Extensive research facilities sponsor over 800 research projects.
