  3. What constitutes a business? Who are some famous business people?

  4. Business is something we take part in every day. -Grocery Stores -Music Stores -Hair Salons -Car Dealerships -Fast Food Restaurants -Real Estate Companies

  5. Some businesses have thousands of employees.

  6. Other businesses have only one employee.

  7. Famous Business People -Bill Gates Microsoft -Sam Walton Wal-mart -Henry Ford Ford Motor Company -John Deere J.D.Tractor Company -Dave Thomas Wendy's -Philip H. Knight Nike

  8. What are some things that these individuals had in common?

  9. -Ingenuity -Foresight -Creativity -Vision

  10. What is the main goal of a business?

  11. To earn a profit!!!

  12. Profit –the excess of returns over expenditure in a transaction or series of transactions; especially : the excess of the selling price of goods over their cost

  13. All businesses must remain profitable in order to stay open.

  14. What strategies does a business need to become and remain profitable?

  15. A successful product or service!!!

  16. Industry knowledge, use of technology and competent employees!!!

  17. A successful marketing plan!!!

  18. All of these factors combined will allow you to develop a successful business!!!
