PROWE (Personal Repositories Online Wiki Environment) is a JISC-funded project by The Open University and University of London aimed at exploring how wikis and similar tools can support the professional development of part-time tutors. The project combines new communication tools, distance learning, and the assessment of user needs to create effective online environments for tutor communities. It investigates the practical application of repository theory, focusing on user experiences and motivation to support collaboration and development in educational practices.
