Consumer Education and Referral Services Our services will include: • Free Parent Referrals to child care providers to meet each family’s specific needs • Assist families in choosing high-quality child care • Inform families about the various types of child care options (child care centers, family child care homes, early head start/head start programs, and school base programs) • Provide information on community resources and financial assistance • Offer resources on parenting and child development

Foundational Learning Opportunities Our training will include foundational knowledge in: • ELDS (Louisiana Early Learning and Development Standards) • CLASS (Classroom Assessment measuring Teacher-Child Interactions) • TS GOLD (Child Assessment) • Other training modules will include but not limited to: • child development, learning environments/room arrangement, positive guidance, transitions, environment rating scales, orientation to FCC

  7. Technical Assistance Our Services will include: • Basic Technical Assistance • On-Site Targeted Technical Assistance

THE ECONOMIC TRUTH IN SEQUENCE • If children don’t come to school “ready to learn” and consequently don’t finish school, the public school system fails… • If the public school system fails…all of the other public systems are overloaded and fail… the health care system fails, the mental health system fails, the corrections system fails • If the public systems fail, the drag on the economy is immense… with less skilled workers, less productivity, higher unemployment, more crime, and higher taxes to pay for higher costs to run the already failing public systems

  16. School Readiness Tax Credits (SRTC)Business/Individual Tax Credits for Donations to CCR & R Agencies – R.S. 47:6107 not to exceed over $5,000.00 • The refundable credit can be taken against individual income tax, corporation tax, or corporation franchise tax
