Enhancing Support for DPOs: Strategies and Tools Workshop in Madagascar

Join us for a transformative seminar aimed at practitioners from HI implementing countries and local partners in Madagascar from October 31 to November 4, 2011. This workshop aims to enhance knowledge on strategies and tools to support Disabled People's Organizations (DPOs) as vital civil society actors. Participants will build a shared understanding of HI's strategies to support the disability movement, facilitate discussions on experiences and best practices, and explore practical guides to foster an inclusive and accessible society for persons with disabilities.

  2. Overall Objectives • Practitioners from HI implementing countries and local partners exchange and improve their knowledge of possible strategies and tools to support and develop DPOs as civil society actors

  3. Specific objectives Participants of the workshop will: • build a common understanding of HI strategy and approaches to support the disability movement to play its role towards an inclusive and accessible society for persons with disabilities (taking the Policy Paper as a reference); • share experiences, good practices, lessons learned and tools from the field to enrich HI practice and guide the development of practical guides
