  2. Feed My Starving Children, founded in 1987 In 2013 • Nearly 800,000 volunteers participated • More than 191 million meals packed • Starving, malnourished, and hungry children fed • People of all cultures served All people—all faiths and secular backgrounds—are urged to participate

  3. Distribution • Shipped to nearly 70 countries • Distributed through in-country NGO partners • Orphanages • Clinics • Relief Centers • Schools • Hurricane Sandy Relief: One million meals distributed to the Caribbean.

  4. Effective and Efficient • 99.96% of meals reach intended recipients • FMSC has received the highest rating for 8 years in a row from Charity Navigator • 92 cents of every dollar contributed goes to provide food

What is the MobilePack? • Local groups (religious, schools, businesses, service clubs, etc.) • Can raise funds and participate in packing food locally • Can host a MobilePack • Worthwhile and fun hands-on events that bind communities together • Individuals, families,and groups pack the food in two hour slots

The MobilePack in Ithaca • Enthusiastic support from Christians, Jews, Muslims, and many secular groups • Where held • Trinity Lutheran Church:2010, 2011 • First Congregational Church:2012, 2013 • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2014 • September 11-13 • Thursday through Saturday • 2013 Statistics More than 300,000 meals packed More than 1,500 volunteers

We need your participation • Supply volunteers to pack • Opportunity to work together in a positive, team-focused environment • Opportunity to make new friends and build a stronger Ithaca community • Family and student friendly • Minimum age: six, with adult supervision • UP to 120 volunteers/session • Up to five sessions a day
