Information from Neighbourhood Watch • Residents from Rymer St and Hurst St have informed me that ASB from car radios in this area are causing houses and windows to shake and set off house alarms and set off car alarms and that the problem has a very detrimental impact on the quality of life of the local residents. There is an audio shop nearby on Dulwich Rd where these car radios systems are sold. There also has been an increase in street crime • A resident has recently informed that she been victim of a phone scam. Where the company remotely logged onto her computer to update its security settings and then asked for a fee, giving their card details. THIS IS A SCAM. • Residents in the Tulse Hill had dozens of bins ransacked for bank documents prior to rubbish collection.

Burglary Advise • Our 10 Top Tips: • Mark or etch your property with your postcode, house or flat number or the first three letters of your house name. • Register items with a serial number at: www.immobilise.com • Do not leave your car keys or ID documents near doors, letterboxes or windows. • Always check who’s at the door and don’t open it if you feel anxious. • Close and lock all your doors and windows, even if you are only going out for a few minutes. • Keep your valuables out of sight. • Leave some lights on if it will be dark before you get home. • Install a visible burglar alarm and possible CCTV. • Always keep sheds and/or outbuildings locked and ensure tools are put away. • In multi occupancy premises ensure doors are locked at all times

  12. Robbery - WW Rd Corridor and Larkhall- Inference: Known robbers living in the area, and their associates from outside the area are targeting individuals. Overview: In the last 2 weeks there have been 5 robberies and 1 commercial robbery (pizza delivery) in Larkhall Ward. 3 took place in Week 1 and 3 in Week 2. Time/Day:Mostly evening between 2000 – 0000hrs and during the week: Mon (2), Thu (1), Fri (1) and Sat (2). MO:In most cases the victim was either punched, pushed or grabbed. None were knife-intimated. Victims:Both males and females white, dark skinned, oriental. 17-30yo. Suspects: Mostly black males aged 16-25yo in groups of 10, 5 or solo. In 3 offences, one of the suspects was described as over F600. Extra Information A number of suspects have been identified from ww and LX.

  14. Re-emerging problem – Motor Vehicle – Clapham Common Ward Inference: Clapham Common ward has seen an increase in motor vehicle crime. Key Findings: 12 offences compared with six in the previous two weeks. 11 Theft from MV, 1 Theft of MV. Theft of: 1 Volkswagen Polo. Recovered 3 days later, when it was found abandoned at Park Hill. However, despite Police letting the air out of tyres to prevent it being driven off again, it was re-stolen Theft from:. V: No common vehicle targeted. No Common MO. O: One known Suspect stopped L: Repeat streets are Clarence Avenue and Hambalt Road T: Peak day on Sunday (50%). No common time period – 5 occurred overnight, 4 unknown and 3 during the day. • Motor vehicle offences • Previous BCTG Extra Information This has been an ongoing issue for a long time. Residents have been given crime prevention advise and ACRO has performed patrols.

  16. Emerging Problem – Street Crime in the Barnwell Road Vicinity Inference: Street crime has been displaced from the Lowden Road area into this vicinity. It is believed the same suspects are responsible for these offences. • Overview: • In the previous FIM period, there was one 1 offence in this vicinity. This has now increased to 11 offences in the current period. • 10x Robberies and 1x Theft Snatch Offences. • 7 offences were in week 1 and 4 in week 2. • Time/Day: All offences took place between Monday – Thursday, with peak days of Weds (5) and Thurs (4). • All but one offence occurred between 1900 and 0130 hours. 8 of these were between 1915 and 2115 hours. • MO: 5 offences were attempts only, with the suspects being unsuccessful in gaining the victims property. Low levels of violence in most of other offences, pushing, threats, etc. • Lone offence with a female victim saw the most violence, with the victim being kicked to the ground and in the back. • Victims: The victims were mainly males of IC1 ethnicity between 22- 42 years. • Suspects:Mostly black males, 16-25 years old. Mostly in pairs or groups of 3. 2 offences also had an white male in the group. Distinctive descriptions include an black male with ginger hair and green eyes, an black male with acne scarring to the face and an black male with a neck tattoo of '2 Lifes' and a teardrop tattoo under his eye. 2 of the above suspects were also wearing hats with 'Everything above money' on them. Extra Information The NHW has informed that ayouths in the area in cars are causing asb in the area.

  17. Streatham Cluster – Priority Crime Overview Over the last two weeks Streatham cluster has had 27 residential burglaries (increase from last FIM). This is 27% of the borough total (if all clusters had an equal number, it would be 16.7%). Also over the last two weeks Streatham cluster has had 37 motor vehicle offences (increase from last FIM). This is 25% of the borough total. 3 main focus areas: Streatham Hill, Streatham Wells and Streatham South.

  19. Tactical Problem – Streatham Wells Inference: Emergence of acquisitive crime during the day and overnight in the vicinity of Streatham Hill. Context: 11 theft from motor vehicle offences and 2 residential burglaries in the last two weeks. V – A variety of vehicles have been targeted, including 4 Vauxhall Astras and 3 Peugeot's that had their doors bent back. A significant amount of property had been left in the vehicles and were taken. O – No suspects were seen in any of the offences. L – In the vicinity of Hillside Gardens and Mount Nod Road between Streatham Hill and Streatham Wells wards. Repeat streets: Mount Nod Road, Palace Road & Romeyn Road. T – Weekday evening to overnight time period as per the last PTAC.

  20. Streatham South Inference: Ongoing acquisitive crime offences during the day and overnight in the vicinity of Streatham south. Context: 11 motor vehicle offences and 6 residential burglaries in the last 2 weeks. V – A number of different cars were targeted, including 4 Peugeots that had their doors bent back and a high value BMW that showed no signs of a break-in. O –Arrest of offender L – South of Streatham Common, Streatham South ward predominantly. Repeat street Ellison Road. T – Weekday offences with a mixture of daytime and evening/overnight time periods (offending throughout the 24hrs).

  21. Tactical Problem – Streatham Gun-Point Robberies Inference: Linked series of Gun-Point Robberies, late at night in Streatham area. Mobile Phones targeted. Offences: 3 offences in the last 7 days Tooting Bec Road, SW16 (on WW ground) Riggindale Road, SW16 Leigham Court Road, SW16 Context: MO– lone suspect approaches lone victim, pushes a black handgun into the victim's stomach, and demands victim's phone. Unknown whether firearm is functional. V – Lone male victims – 20-30yrs old. O – A tall (F603-F605) black male, 20-28, committed all three offences. Note: Two other suspects arrived towards the end of the third offence and took victim's headphones – it is unknown whether they were working with with the main suspect. L – Streatham area, close to main roads. T– Early hours of the morning (0000 to 0300) Extra Information The NHW has been notified and details have been passed onto residents to be vigilant and travelling home in the early hours. .
