Fuel Adder NPRR 485 • WMS guidance: Mitigated fuel costs are intended to allow resources to be compensated for its total fuel cost, through a 12 month rolling average, updated and reviewed by ERCOT staff quarterly • VCMRR-01 has been developed to incorporate procedure to include fuel adder. • Issues discussed and incorporated at RCWG: • Once the fuel adder is established, the Resource Entity cannot switch back to the generic 50 cents. • “total fuel price” means total volumes purchased, not the burn volumes and not the net of sales.
