Introduction Codicote is a reasonably large village on the outskirts of London. Welwyn Garden City, Hitchin, Hertford, St Albans, Luton, and Stevenage are all neighbouring towns. Codicote is a lovely country village and is a lovely place to live.
Codicote’s School There is a small (C of E) School and guess what? it is called Codicote primary school. There is a mass of around 200 pupils and they are taught very well! It is also a very sporty school and has many clubs and games held at the school
Thechurch There is also a Christian church .the school have visits there on some occasions. The church has a vicarcalled Lawrence, whom the children of the school also know, as he comes to the school on Fridays. He and the pupils sing hymns , and also have stories from the bible. Lawrence also has a colleague called Richard. He also goes to the school with Lawrence
Nearby shops Codicote has lots of shops; The Red House Robarts Chemist Hair dressers (Its A Snip) A butcher shop and a fish shop And many more…

Its history As you can see Codicote is a lovely village, but as do all villages it has a beginning This one started many years ago when a man, Cudda and his wife found this bit of land, and made a little house, where the blue bell wood now stands. And over the years many people came to live there with them. The village was named after him and over the years it changed to codicote.
