  1. Candidate Review: Lu Phillips See what you’ve been missing!

  2. Who am I? • Profile • I am a leader. The ENTJ leadership trait is hardwired into my personality. • I am a team mate.My results illustrate a collaborative approach to work. • I am a Project Manager. In order to demonstrate results, most tactical initiativesmust be managed against time. • I am a bridge. My diverse interests stretch across disciplines and organizational matrices. • I am an innovator. My solutions are never off-the-shelf, usually broadly applicable, and are enriched through the tools of other professional disciplines.

  3. How has my career progressed? • I don’t overwork the internal politics of promotion, instead I collaborate. • I push the boundaries of customer interaction and proactive support. • I seek out and fix core process-oriented problems from 4 key buckets: Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation. • Have been consulted as a “change agent” by management due to my client/vendor experiences and edgy, creative approaches.

  4. Meyers-Brigs Personality Type Indicator • I am an ENTJ, or "Executive" type. • ENTJ’s constantly scan the environment for potential problems which we can turn into solutions. • ENTJ’s generally see things from a long-range perspective, and are usually successful at identifying plans to turn problems around - especially problems of a corporate nature.

  5. What are my strengths? • I am a winner and so are my teams. • My world is informed by my talents and not my weaknesses. Weakness are minimized with my teammates’ help. • Intellectual/professional diversity is rule #1 on the teams that I assemble. • I am coachable and proactively seek mentorship and guidance.

  6. Now, Discover your Strengths • I am some blending of these 5 themes: • Input= I am inquisitive and have the kind of mind that finds so many things interesting. • Intellection= I like to think and am very introspective. I am the kind of person who enjoys time alone because it is your time for musing and reflection. • Ideation= I am fascinated by ideas and have the kind of mind that is always looking for connections, and so you are intrigued when seemingly disparate phenomena can be linked by an obscure connection. • Learner= I like to learn and am energized by the steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence. • Achiever= I have a constant need for achievement and it is what keeps me moving. It is the jolt I can always count on to get me started on new tasks and challenges.

  7. Engineering experiences • Helped set up and run high-mix aerospace manufacturing facilities. • Ran high-volume wireless production line and directed hourly workers. • Set up lean manufacturing cells managing them with continuous improvement metrics. • Trained as a Kaizen leader and interfaced with product design on NPI and yield quality.

  8. Business Development experiences • Integrated operations after six M&A plant closures. • Led OEM engineering outsourcing from operations to improve quality. • Integrated Lean tools into sales process at a global/virtual scale. • Grew major aerospace client into a strategic account (ongoing).

  9. Educational experiences • Chose a degree that blends engineering and business: Industrial Technology. • Participated in dozens of work training programs, eventually leading some of the training. • Studied and applied dozens of business development books into practical work experiences.
