  3. How homelessness happens • Homelessness is something that can happen to anyone and fast • Generally someone is laid off at work and cant pay the bills

  4. More reasons for homelessness • Abuse • Vietnam war veterans • Mental illnesses

  5. Big Cities • Places like Houston, New York, and Los Angeles have the most homeless people. • Sure they have shelters and other things, but these cities are also some of the meanest to homeless.

  6. Everyday items • No phone • No car • No house • No money to get started

  7. Family help • There is usually ZERO family help for them… • So they tend to want to be welcome by gangs members. • 100,000 children in L.A are in gangs most murders by age 12, 13, or 14

  8. Gangs and drugs • Most children of homeless parents tend to be in gangs for money and do drugs to ease the pain which just makes it worse

  9. Success of homeless children • 1 in 10 homeless children accomplish much in their lives. • No place to do homework • Usually on drugs fail drug test • Drop out of school to try an help their family

  11. Homeless numbers increasing? • It is estimated that 1.5 million more people will become homeless in the next 2 years. • Which means a lot less room in the homeless shelters.
