Jenis Maintenance • Planned maintenance – Maintenance yang terencana dengan baik • Unplanned maintenance – adhoc maintenance yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan khusus peralatan • Preventive maintenance – dilakuan secara periodik yang ditujukan untuk mengurangi kemungkinan failure dari peralatan • Corrective maintenance – perbaikan • Emergency maintenance – perbaikan darurat • Condition based maintenance – maintenance untuk peralatan dengan kondisi tertentu • Schedule maintenance – maintenance yang dilakukan sesuai dengan jam operational, jumlah operational peralatan.

Inspection costs Inspection costs at various cycles can be determined but these should also allow for disruption to the operation of the building. An optimization can then be carried out either by graphical means of by mathematical methods to determine the most effective inspection cycle.

Replacement costs Replacement costs at various cycles can be determined but these shouild also allow for disruption to the operation of the building An exercise can then be carried out either by graphical means as suggested below or by mathematical methods to determine the optimum replacement cycle.
