  1. TIPS HOW TO TAKE CARE OF LARGE CACTI? USE WELL DRAINING SOIL Cacti prefer soil that drains well to prevent excess moisture retention. Use a potting mix specifically formulated for cacti or create your own by combining regular potting soil with sand or perlite to improve drainage. PROVIDE ADEQUATE SUNLIGHT Most cacti require abundant sunlight to thrive. Place your large cactus in a location that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight per day. PRUNE WITH CARE If your large cactus develops damaged or diseased parts, it's important to remove them promptly to prevent further spread. Use clean, sterilized pruning tools and make clean cuts to minimize damage to the plant. WATER SPARINGLY Allow the soil to dry out completely between watering sessions, and then water deeply, ensuring water reaches the root zone. During the winter months reduce watering frequency. PROTECT FROM PESTS Common pests that can affect cacti include mealybugs, scale insects, and spider mites. Regularly inspect your cactus for any signs of pests, such as webbing, cottony clusters, or small insects. If infested, use an appropriate insecticidal soap or neem oil to control the pests.
